Work Performed

Found hot water heater with a Corning gas lock on the valve. contacted the gas company to unlock. Pilot light lit and maintained a flame but primary circuit of the gas valve would not open. The top of the water heater showed signs of a potential leak at or around the inlet and outlet nipples, as well as melted plastic rings around the nipples, possibly due to inadequate venting. Gas company reinstalled lock upon departure. Quote provided to customer to replace
