Oil Furnace Replacement – High-Efficiency Propane ConversionRemove and dispose of existing oil-fired furnace, including disassembly as necessary for removal from basement.
Furnish and install new high-efficiency propane forced-air furnace, properly sized for the home's heating requirements.
Scope of work includes:
- Disconnect and remove existing oil furnace and associated components.
- Position, level, and install new propane furnace.
- Fabricate and install custom sheet-metal transitions to connect new furnace to existing supply and return ductwork.
- Install propane gas piping from the new supply connection at the basement entrance to the furnace, including required shutoff valve, sediment trap, and fittings.
- Install new PVC combustion-air intake and exhaust venting to exterior in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Install condensate drainage system, including condensate pump as required.
- Complete necessary electrical and thermostat connections.
- Seal and secure existing ductwork connections.
- Perform system startup, combustion analysis, safety testing, and operational verification.
- Remove installation debris and dispose of old furnace components.
**Exclusions and Additional Requirements:**
- Propane supplier is responsible for upgrading and properly sizing the exterior gas supply, regulators, and piping up to the basement entry point.
- Existing oil storage tank will remain in place. Tank removal, disposal, and environmental remediation are excluded.
- Water heater replacement and modifications to its venting system are excluded.
- Any required chimney modifications, liner installation, or repairs are excluded.
- Structural repairs, asbestos abatement, and unforeseen building deficiencies are excluded.
All work will be completed in accordance with applicable codes and equipment manufacturer requirements.$12,500.00
